In some cases, attempts to resolve 'ingrown' toenails are not successful ie if the nail bed has been damaged or if your nail is shaped wrongly.  Therefore you may be advised that nail surgery is necessary to resolve your nail problem.  

 

This is a short procedure using a local anaesthetic and you will be advised as to whether you require the whole or part of the nail removed.  Following surgery, patients are required to attend for dressing appointments.
